Hi, I'm Jess! When seeing me, you can expect a warm, genuine clinician who makes you feel heard. Whether you are looking for support during a challenging time or wish to gain a deeper understanding of self-defeating coping strategies, I aim to provide you with a space to reflect and learn about yourself.
I describe my therapeutic style as compassionate and non-judgemental. I like to bring positive energy and humour into my practice as I feel it's important to create a comfortable and open environment with a balance of warmth, respect, and sensitivity. I am passionate about empowering you, helping you build resilience, and supporting your values and strengths.
I am experienced in working with adults in a variety of settings such as private practice, outpatient group therapy, rehabilitation, emergency departments, public mental health case management, and crisis teams. I support individuals experiencing anxiety disorders, mood disorders such as depression and bipolar, difficulties managing emotion, conflict in relationships, low self-worth, problematic patterns of communication, thoughts of suicide and self-harm, stress, trauma, and significant life changes.
I aim to teach you psychological strategies to manage painful and uncomfortable emotions and memories, disengage from unhelpful beliefs about yourself and others, improve your sense of self, and reaffirm your purpose and direction.
I am also a board-approved supervisor and passionate about supporting provisional psychologists through their internships. Additionally, I offer individual and group clinical supervision for continuing professional development.
